Finnish Somali Medical Association

The Finnish Somali Medical Association, established in 2020, is an officially recognized organization in Finland. It brings together doctors, dentists, and medical and dental students of Somali descent.

The association is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of its members, supporting their professional development, and strengthening unity within the community. The association's primary mission is to empower and encourage Somali-background healthcare professionals and students, while fostering collaboration and peer support.

Key objectives of the association include promoting health and well-being within the Finnish Somali community and serving as a bridge between the community and Finnish healthcare institutions. Additionally, the association works closely with health-promotion organizations and strives to support the development of healthcare expertise and systems in Somalia wherever possible.

The Finnish Somali Medical Association is affiliated with the Finnish Medical Society Duodecim.
